The Raceways Timeline
2008 - Raceways is set up as a registered business. Our mission is to create a calendar of sporting events that are recognised by athletes nationally.
2009 - Raceways launches five new races based in Stratford Upon Avon and Moreton Morrell. These include The Mad Dash, Spring Shakespeare, School’s Out, Autumn Shakespeare and The Christmas Cracker.
2010 - We set up Kids Run Free to encourage more children to take regular exercise.
2013 - Raceways becomes a Community Interest company (CIC). All our profits go to Kids Run Free.
2013 - Raceways moves into a new office at 4 Euston Place, Leamington Spa.
2013 - We launch The Avenger, our first triathlon at Ragley Hall in Alcester.
2014 - There are 690 entries for The Spring Shakespeare which is a 35% increase on the previous year.
2015 - We launch the Seco Alcester 10K race which follows a closed road scenic route through the villages of Alcester, Walcote and Great Alne.
2015 - Sprint and Olympic distance races are added to the middle distance Avenger.
2015 - The Avenger is Triathlon England 2015 West Midland's Commercial Triathlon of the Year
2016 - Raceways launches three new events. A Sprint Triathlon, the Summer Shakespeare and a Summer 10 mile mixed terrain race at Warwick University:
