St Nicholas Church
St Nicholas Church Alcester is the lead church of eight churches which together form the Alcester Minster. St Nicholas Church is situated in the middle of Alcester town and has been on this site since the 12th century when it was part of Alcester Abbey.
The church boasts a tower dating back to the 14th and other parts of the building were reconstructed at various points in Georgian and Victorian times.
It can claim to be the largest public space in the town and the centrepiece of this historic market town.
A truly historic building of fantastic heritage but now in need of urgent repairs to the stonework to ensure the church can continue to be used as both a place of worship but more broadly for use by individuals and groups throughout the community.
St Nicholas Church need to raise £250,000 to be able to carry out this work so by participating in the Alcester Minster Steeple Chase you will be helping us to carry out the necessary restoration of the building
